These are all short one or two session workshops geared to help with specific problems or questions.

You Have a Laptop
For those of you who enjoy using your computer while traveling or just prefer mobile experience, a laptop is just the thing.  This is a one session workshop on using the laptop.  Fee:  $10.00

Buying a New Computer
This workshop goes through step by step of the various items to look for prior to purchasing a new computer.  It explains in detail the things to compare, such as manufacturer, cost, accessories, etc. One session, Fee:  $10.00

Help - I'm Afraid
This is an essential "How To" workshop designed for new computer users to help students understand how to set the essential components of the Windows XP operating system so that they can use electronic mail and search the internet for information, while still taking care of necessary maintenance items.  2 lessons, fee: $20.00

Computer Maintenance
This is a one lesson workshop on how to keep your computer working the way you would like.  How to set up the essential maintenance routines and evaluate the performance of the machine.  Fee:  $10.00

Burning CDs / DVDs
This two lesson workshop will take you through the steps on how to back-up files.  How to burn data and music CDs and DVDs.  We use Nero Express in class, but any software that comes with a burner will do.  Fee:  $20.00

Buying a Digital Camera
Anyone who travels, or attends family gatherings, is seeing more and more snapshots being taken with digital cameras.  This workshop will bring you up to speed on what  a digital camera has to offer, how to decide which type works for you, and what accessories and support programs you may want when you're ready to "go digital".  Fee: $10.00

Computer Safe Practices
Just like a home, it's so easy for computer to become cluttered with unnecessary files, old programs and other dust collectors.  As a result, important files can be lost and things move slowly.  This workshop takes you through the step-by-step on routine "clean-up" and "maintenance" that you should do on tour own.  Plus computer security issues, to keep out unwanted visitors.  One lesson, fee: $10.00

Computer Housekeeping
Computer owners are often unaware of some useful ways to keep their machines in top working order.  You will learn how to use the  housekeeping utilities in your Windows XP computer that will both keep your computer running efficiently and protect it against viral attacks. 1 lesson.  Fee $10.00
